Back for a 3rd year in a row! Our RED PLAID HAT CAMPAIGN kicked off the week of Thanksgiving. I am so fortunate to be able to travel home to spend the holiday with my family in NY as many of us are blessed to be with our families.
Our Red Plaid Hat Campaign brings awareness to a family in Haiti that is near and dear to my heart; my friend Joyce and her TEN (yes 10) kids. Every year, I pick out some of my favorite hats and a portion of the proceeds go to Joyce and her kids at Chosen and Cherished Ministries Haiti.
Joyce has lived in Haiti for over 15 years and is raising her ten kiddos who were not eligible for and out of country adoption. No birth certificates or country records of any kind, they found themselves at an orphanage surrounded with friends who were always going home to their forever families. Joyce made the tough (or easy) decision to adopt all ten in Haiti and raise them there as her own. She is a literal saint and one of my favorite people.
